Rétablissement de l'électricité dans la ville de Goma après éruption du volcan Nyiragongo

Le Samedi 22 mai 2021 vers 19 heures, heure de Goma, une éruption innatendue du Volcan Nyiragongo a endommagé les infrastructures de transport et de distribution de l'énergie électrique en provenance de Matebe (Rutshuru) privant ainsi d'électricité les clients des Sociétés SOCODEE SA et VIRUNGA ENEGIE.

 

Dans le soucis de rétablir l'électricité le plus rapidement possible afin de mieux satisfaire sa clientèle, dès le dimanche 23 mai, la direction de la SOCODEE déclenche le mécanisme d’urgence en recourant à Rwanda Energy Group(REG) pour l'approvisionnement de l'énergie électrique à partir de la ville rwandaise de Rubavu. C’est l’unique solution rapide car les travaux de réparation de la ligne d'approvisionnement habituelle depuis la Centrale Hydroélectrique de Matebe sont prevus s’étendre sur une durée d'au moins 15 jours.

Les travaux d’interconnexion avec le Rwanda ont commencé le lundi 24 Mai et le 25 Mai à 23h04 minutes, l'électricité est de nouveau rétablie à la satisfaction de nos abonnés. 

En attendant la réparation des deux lignes de Virunga Energie qui acheminent l'électricité sur la ville de Goma, SOCODEE SA alimente le réseau de Virunga Energie depuis le 28 Mai 2021.
